Popham Beach is part of a state park and is often listed as one of the best beaches in Maine. It is the busiest state beach. Lifeguards mid-June to mid-August. Beware of rip currents. Pets and horses only allowed from October 1 through March 31. Entrance fees collected year-round. The turnoff for the beach parking lot is on the right just before 10 Perkins Farm Lane.
