Exhibits include a real Lake Champlain steamship, a covered bridge, a locomotive, a railroad station, a lighthouse, a jail, a schoolhouse, historical buildings, art museums, a carousel, barns, a sawmill, and more. "Over 150,000 works are exhibited in a remarkable setting of 39 exhibition buildings, 25 of which are historic and were relocated to the museum grounds. The museum’s collection includes works by the great Impressionists Claude Monet, Edouard Manet and Edgar Degas as well as a prized collection of folk art including trade signs, weathervanes and quilts." - from facebook. There are also changing exhibits, occasional performances and annual events. Adult tickets are normally $25 (as of 2019) but prices are discounted depending on age, residency, season, etc. Tickets good for 2 days. Open year-round, but not all buildings are open in winter. Cafe closed in winter. Weapons, pets, and smoking are prohibited on campus. Warning: The Dutton House is haunted.
