FunInNewEngland Rating: (0 votes) Type: State Admission Fee: Yes (always) "Ellacoya State Park is located in Gilford on the southwest shore of Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire's largest lake. The 600-foot long sandy beach, with views across the lake to the Sandwich and Ossipee mountains, is a great place to spend with the family for a full day of swimming and picnicking. The campground includes 37 sites available by reservation only, and offers three-way hook-ups. Tents are not allowed at the RV park. Pets are not allowed… Due to the popularity of Ellacoya State Park's beach area on nice weekends and holidays, the beach will most likely sell-out in the morning hours. Once the beach area reaches capacity additional beach goers cannot be admitted due to safety concerns." - from website; Admission: adults $5; children $2 (as of 2016); Pets not allowed Last updated 2016-09-11 Get map or directions from Google Maps, Yahoo Maps, Bing Maps, or Mapquest Rate it yourself Submit your own review |
