The 350 Grill is sort of out of place. It is a somewhat high class steakhouse, but located next to the Mardi Gras strip club adult entertainment venue in the not-so-good downtown area of Springfield. They have a large parking lot that is shared with the Mardi Gras. (Note: I parked on the street because I wasn't sure if parking was free.) The décor is nice, sort of like a fancy Italian bistro. They have an outdoor seating area, but the view consists of the parking lot and the street. We opted to sit inside with the air conditioning. There is a large bar located in the same large room as the dining tables. The restaurant is very open, with no partitions. We came on a Sunday night. They used to be closed on Sundays. I was told that this is the first Sunday that they've opened on. There were very few customers this night.

I split a calamari appetizer with my friends. That was quite good. The 350 Ribeye Steak I ordered is their signature cut of beef. Unlike most restaurant's ribeyes this one comes as a thick piece attached to a long bone. I ordered it cooked medium, even though I like medium rare. It came out perfect, closer to medium rare. The quality and taste was superb. This was probably the best ribeye I've ever had. The meal comes with two sides and free bread. For sides I got salad and finger potatoes. The salad was good. I got the house Italian dressing. It turned out to be balsamic vinaigrette and too strong with the vinegar. The finger potatoes were interesting, but nothing special.

To conclude: The food is excellent, the prices high, the décor nice, the service good, the location questionable. You may need reservations on Saturday nights, and the staff can be a bit pretentious.
